Cristiano after his third goal

The Portuguese passed medical tests this morning from 10:00 to 11:15 A.M. hours at the Hospital "Sanitas La Moraleja". The player was very upset last night but this morning had a good feeling and said clear in the twitter that he was hoping to play on Sunday at "El Sardinero" stadium: "I hope to be OK for the next game and help the team". The tests have said otherwise.

The injury came in the third goal, when put his foot: "I did not force due to the importance of matches that come to us and asked for the change. At first I did not think to play Sunday".

At Real Madrid there was much concern after the first few minutes. The importance of the player in the white team is critical Although he rested importance: "It's not serious. We were winning the game and was no necessary take risks", said Cristiano who retired from the match against Malaga with 13 minutes remaining. Thus, the Portuguese says goodbye to his record, losing the first minutes of a League match.

Thus, Cristiano has started 39 of the 41 official games played for Real Madrid this season. Before 40, comes an injury that forced him to stop. The first knockout round of Champions against Lyon is close and Jose Mourinho knows he can not afford to tackle it without his franchise player.

League (Day 26): Mourinho reactions

MOURINHO: "BENZEMA IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PLAYER"

Mourinho and Pellegrini

"Obviously, by losing 4-0 in the second half and having played a vital derby a couple of days ago, it is normal that Malaga experienced some physical problems tonight. That's why I made three substitutions when the game had been sentenced. I also stopped giving out instructions because there wasn't much more to say."

"I took off Alonso, Di Maria and Ozil because they also needed to rest. I cannot feel guilty about Ronaldo's injury because I made the substitutions immediatley. I cannot make four, five or six substitutions. A player can get injured on the pitch or at his own home. I don't think he's injured due to exhaustion because we faced Deportivo five days ago."

"Benzema is playing better. He is a completely different player from the footballer he was when I arrived. He is much more solid, and stronger both phsyically and mentally. He played very well tonight and was dynamic. I liked him a lot. I knew what Adebayor could do before he arrived here. I knew how he played and I knew what he could bring to the team. Having two centre forwards available gives you the chance of using one or the other depending on the game."

"I don't think what Pellegrini said about saving the strength of players was an excuse. It is a reality. They played a final on Monday and they have another on Sunday. That's why I don't find it unusual for a coach to save some of his men."

"I have nothing against Malaga city, nor against the club or the people that work in it. It's not a problem from me to apologise if I must, but the truth is I simply answered like I always do: without hypocrisy."

"If you ask the best players in the world, or the coaches who work at the best clubs, if they would coach Malaga they would answer this: 'Why not? I would some day, but not now because I'm currently at Real Madrid, at Inter Milan, at Barcelona...' But this isn't true. Those who can, choose the best situation available to them. One of my faults is that I'm not a hypocrite in a world full of hypocrites. I will always have this fault."

Spanish League: Day 26

REAL MADRID 7 - MALAGA 0

Real Madrid showcased amazing football and showered Malaga with goals tonight at the Bernabeu. Iker Casillas' goal never experienced a threat. Jose Mourinho used rotations in order to save the strength of important players for ensuing games. Cristiano Ronaldo was niggled during the match.

Marcelo and Cristiano

The Whites were anxious to show everyone that the result earned last week against Deportivo was an accident. Benzema scored the opener 26 minutes into the game by finishing off a solid centre from Xabi Alonso. Di Maria scored the second strike nine minutes later after receiving a long pass from Marcelo that Gaspar failed to intercept. The Argentine then defeated goalkeeper Caballero with ease. Marcelo netted the third goal just before half-time.

Ozil passed the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo on the 50-minute mark, the Portuguese player controlled it with his right foot and defeated the goalie with his left. Mourinho then decided to replace Xabi Alonso and Di Maria with Adebayor and Gago. A few minutes later, Benzema netted his second strike in the match with a good shot from inside the box (61').

Six minutes later, a handball was called against Gaspar in the box and a penalty was awarded to Real Madrid. Ronaldo took the shot and scored. The Portuguese player tallied a third strike ten minutes later after receiving a great assist from Canales, but he had to leave the pitch because he hurt himself: Real Madrid had already made their three substitutions, but Ronaldo couldn't stay on the pitch. Nothing much happened in the remainder of the game.

The Whites are set to face Racing in Santander on Sunday.

Preview: Real Madrid vs Malaga

Real Madrid will face Malaga tonight at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

Manuel Pellegrini returns tonight to the Bernabeu Stadium. It will be the first time that the Chilean coach will face his former team. Jesualdo Ferreira was the coach of Málaga in the first round match, in which Madrid won at the "Rosaleda" (1-4). Malaga is in the relegation zone and two points from safety, but it takes four games without defeat (three draws and one win).

Pellegrini has evaded all the questions had been asked him about his former team, but recently told to the newspaper Olé some of his most intimate thoughts: "At Real Madrid, the coach is little heard. For me it's gone. Luckily , we make the best League campaign in the history of Real Madrid. The results we had, should have been allowed me to continue the work". After defeating Almeria (Monday, in the Rosaleda Stadium) Pellegrini admitted the special tingle that produces him this encounter: "I hope they give me a good reception, was a busy year".

Malaga has signed six players during the winter so they do not lack anything in their quest to avoid the relegation: Asenjo, who was injured seriously, Caballero (800,000 euros), Demichelis (will cost three million euros if the team does not down), Baptista (2.5 million cash paid to Rome), Camacho (1.5 million to Atletico) and Maresca (free).

At Real Madrid, Pepe is out for the match. The Portuguese central missed training yesterday due to a bout of flu and he does not recover completely. Mourinho pondered allow him to rest, thinking about the next match against Santander on Sunday.

Thus, the replacement of Portuguese as Carvalho companion would be Sergio Ramos, who played at right back in Lyon and Riazor and would return to the center position; Mourinho thinks that Ramos is better player there. With this change of Ramos to the center defense, the right side defense position would be for Arbeloa. Pepe, however, yesterday received the good news that the Competition Committee considered the submissions of Madrid and took away the yellow card of the last match in Riazor. Moreover, Ezequiel Garay, who retired from the trainig on Tuesday, has undergone medical tests to determine the extent of his muscle aches. Tests have revealed that Argentina player suffers stiffness in the right adductor muscle, so he has not been cited

The other three news that Mourinho is considering are: Adebayor, Granero and Di Maria. The first will be the new owner of the striker position (Benzema Out) and the coach may opt for the "Pirate" Granero and the Argentine midfielder instead of Lass and Kaka.

Cristiano: 409 minutes without scoring

Real Madrid has a strong dependence on Cristiano and so the problems it is having the team to score goals, matching the second-worst scoring streak since Portuguese joined Spain. His last goal dates back to Feb. 6 against Real Sociedad and accumulates since then, 409 minute drought. Precisely at this time, Madrid has won just two of their last four games (Espanyol and Levante) and has scored four goals. The posts also have allied against the Portuguese. Since his last goal scored, he has two shots finished in wood, against Lyon in Champions League and against Deportivo in the League.

Cristiano Ronaldo has spent 409 minutes without scoring a goal
Cristiano Ronaldo

February has become bad month for Cristiano. During this month he only scored the two goals of Real Sociedad match: far from the 11 he got in October. The Portuguese has been overtaken by Messi in the fight for the top scorer. At the moment, Cristiano has 24 league goals, while Argentina player has 26. However, Real Madrid is aware that when Cristiano overcomes this bump, will be willing to lead the scoring charts. Besides he accumulates too many minutes in his legs (3,425) and it seems like the main reason for the low scoring average. Is also lower than last season. At present, the crack scores a goal every 100 minutes while in the 09-10 season, he did it every 88 minutes.

Despite not be having a good time, Cristiano adds 34 goals this season (24 in the League, 6 in Cup and 4 in Champions). This figure is higher than the 33 of last season and still lie ahead, at least 13 days of League, the Cup final and a Champions League match in order to improve and expand that number. Nearby are the 42 goals he scored the 07-08 season in which he won the Ballon d'Or and Golden Boot.

Interview: Uli Stielike

Uli Stielike (Ketsch, 1954) continues to radiate the personality of steel that made him immortal in the Bernabeu. After the terrible loss of his son Michael due to pulmonary fibrosis (three years ago), Germany former player of Real Madrid breaks his silence since his warm retreat in Qatar, where he arrived a couple of years ago trying to put distance with the personal tragedy experienced. His 215 games in 8 seasons are more than enough guarantee to discuss in detail his former team, his countrymen Khedira and Özil, Messi, CR7 and, of course, Mourinho.

Qatar is the new home of Uli Stielike
Uli Stielike (Qatar)

How did you come to Qatar?
I was training in Switzerland to Sion and both broke the contract. There was a goalkeeper of Egypt (El Hadary) and his manager who has an office in Dubai, asked me if I was interested in coming to work in this area. Naturally, I said yes. He had good contacts with clubs here, so I joined Al Arabi. I was there two years and this season I changed and came to Al Saliyah, which is also in first division.
The experience has been very positive because Al Arabi was several years away from the first positions and were able to finish third last season. We are now in a more modest team that has always struggled to avoid relegation. We are in quiet positions, so we are happy, but much remains.

Does your family had a hard time to continue with your life?
Yes. Life can never be the same because you are sad memories that you can not ignore. Are there and always will be. But we have two more children. Boy live in Spain and the girl is married for six months. She is in Germany. They give a great strength to my wife and me.

You look happy in Qatar, has you resigned to work in Europe?
With this contract I just signed I do not think right now back there. Obviously, in our profession should always take into account supply and demand. This happened when I came here. What we have 'in mind', the day that 'hangs up my boots', it's back to Europe, and will surely be to Spain.

Do you follow Real Madrid? What do you think about the team this year?
No doubt that Mourinho's hand is felt in the game. Özil and Di Maria arrivals have expanded the options for goal, with Ronaldo, of course. Then the defense has gained in consistency and stability with Carvalho. The team has the capacity to fight for every title at stake and that is the best signal.

After many years have suddenly two Germans arrived at the Bernabeu: Özil and Khedira. Do you see them succeeding in white?
I think so. The most important thing is to adapt and integrate yourself as quickly as possible to the country, the habits and the team. From a distance I can not say if they are already identified with the club, but their football and their professionalism help this integration.

Messi has won two Golden Balls; CR7, one. Who of the two is the best for Stielike?
Both are great, brilliant. I only distinguish one thing: Ronaldo is more individualistic while Messi plays more for the team. Therefore, I can understand Messi won the trophy again, but in truth I had not bothered if Xavi had won this year, a player who leaves a mark in every game and demonstrates his value with Barcelona.

Schuster has already coached to Madrid, Hugo and Michel have sounded. Instead, you never. Have you ever dreamed coaching Real Madrid?
No, never. I never understood the Madrid, regardless of the president. I was working for 8 years in the German national team with boys of 17 years. I knew the best talent in the country, but Madrid never requested me reports. As I said, I never understood. And I'm not alone. Others former players think the same. In my opinion, the Madrid missed an opportunity.

Real Madrid will tour China and the U.S.A.

"Our challenge is to continue working, building our shield, our shirts and our name, Madrid, for FIFA grant us the title of best club of the XXI century and in this agreement is our commitment that we will work to achieve it". Florentino Perez was compelling to put the finishing touch to his speech at the signing of an agreement between Real Madrid and the public institutions; Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, the Community of Madrid and the City Council, so that the club promotes Spain and its capital as tourist destinations under the slogan: Visit Spain, Visit Madrid.

Real Madrid will promote Spain with an international tour next summer

Real Madrid will make a tour of Asia in the next season as confirmed on Monday at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Minister of Industry, Miguel Sebastián, and the mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz Gallardón.

"The club returns to the Asian tour this summer. It did not do that since 2005. The Asian market has huge potential and we want to increase that market. China is an emerging market. We had 90,000 Chinese tourists in 2009, 100,000 in 2010 and want to reach the million in 2020", said the minister.

In other way, Ruiz Gallardon said the world has 294 million followers of Real Madrid and with tours like white team will make "from Los Angeles to Asia", the club manages to reaffirm a love for the Real Madrid which is "easy to find throughout the world, from Ghana to the U.S.A.", he said.

With this agreement was confirmed the presence of Real Madrid in the U.S.A. and Asia. In addition, advertising campaigns will make with the star players of Madrid and there will be advertising on billboards at the Bernabeu in League matches and in Valdebebas.

Real Madrid will listen to offers for Kaká

Real Madrid's patience with Kaka is about to end and the white club has decided to listen to offers this summer due to his disappointing performance. Madrid see a shadow of the crack which cost 67 million euros and the last evidence was his poor performance in Riazor where the team, without Kaka in the field, improved significantly (he was replaced in 60 '). A Coruña was the second time Mou gave him the starter position in an away match, the other was in Almeria, two games in which Real Madrid lost four points ...

Kaka will be transfered to Chelsea this summer
Kaka

Since he reappeared after his injury, January 3, has participated in 11 games playing only 438 minutes of the 1350' possible, 32.4 percent. He has scored two goals and it was unreleased in four major matches: the semifinals of Cup (Sevilla), League (Espanyol) and Champions (Lyon).

However, Kaka seems immune to criticism that raged: "I feel great. In Riazor I played in a different position than I was playing and I've been normal".

Kaka comes slowly to the exit door and England insist that Ancelotti is crazy to sign him. In return, according to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea would offer Drogba to lower the transfer.

Mourinho was angry with Kaka by walking out of the field when he sawhe was replaced. The coach was desperate and a camera caught him screaming at the Brazilian "Come here quickly¡" Kaka not fived Mourinho and went to the bench with his head down.

League (Day 25): Mourinho reactions

MOURINHO: "ONLY ONE TEAM HAS PLAYED TO WIN"

"Deportivo practically didn't touch the ball in the second half and we played against a goalkeeper and ten defenders. All that matters is the outcome, but I cannot criticize my players. One team played to win and the other worked very hard to take one point. The team that was after the point got what it wanted. I think it would have been fair had the match ended 0-1."

Jose Mourinho

"Deportivo can play however they want. I have nothing to say in that respect. I am sure they are pleased with the point. They played their match and worked hard. If they play this way in every match, I am sure they would be competing for a Europa League spot. Hats off to them, but there is no comparison with other matches."

"Seven points is a lot, but mathematics play an important role and we will continue as long as it's possible."

"I don't like to speak about the referee's performance. I don't know if it was a hand ball because I was too far to see it. In Lyon I did see it from a distance. There was no doubt in my mind. I didn't see this penalty as clearly. I spoke to the fourh referee about being more well-mannered with my players because he was speaking to them in a way that isn't normal."

"I will always try to defend the interests of Real Madrid and its fans. The schedule is decided by people who know what they are doing. Playing on Sunday would have been the normal thing to do. The people who drew up the calendar knew what they were doing. People laugh behind my back, but I will continue speaking out against a situation that is clear to everyone. It is something that is impossible to deny, but that's a whole other matter."

League (Day 25): Players reactions

CASILLAS: "WE WERE SIMPLY UNLUCKY"

Iker Casillas

"We were simply unlucky. This is a setback because we weren't able to win. We tried hard and had our chances, especially in the second half. We also hit the post, but the ball didn't want to go int. That's football for you. We controlled the match, but if the ball doesn't go in, there is nothing we can do."

"Two matches later we find ourselves in the same situation. We must continue playing hard. There is no other option. Now me must focus on Malaga and not pay attention to what our rivals are doing. We don't control our own destiny, but we must win all our matches if we are to stand a chance of winning La Liga."

"This team has always fought and it will continue to do so until the end."

RAMOS: "THERE IS NO REASON TO BE UPSET WITH THE TEAM"

"There is no reason to be upset with the team. We went out their to win from the very start. We dominated the match in such a way that we deserved to win, but we were unable to score. We capitalized on the open space we had in the second half and we were more mobile, but we didn't score. It leaves a bad taste in our mouths after such an effort. La Liga is not lost; there are still a lot of matches left."

XABI ALONSO: "WE NEED TO WIN A LOT OF MATCHES"

"It's a shame. We had our chances, but the ball didn't want to go in. They are two valuable points that we are leaving here. We tried it every which way. You cannot lay blame on the team because we fought until the final whistle. Winning La Liga won't be easy, but a lot can change in football and we will not give up. We need to win a lot of matches."

Spanish League: Day 25

DEPORTIVO 0 - REAL MADRID 0

Deportivo goalkeeper Aranzubia made 12 saves and Real Madrid sent two balls off the woodwork in what ended in a 0-0 draw for the Whites at Riazor.

Ozil upset after the game
Mesut Özil

Real knew they would be up against a defensive Depor side on Saturday. With that in mind, Benzema and Kaka were given the nod for kick-off. The Whites tried from the very get go, but were unable to elaborate plays with such suffocating defensive pressure. Although they had their chances throughout the first half, the first real opportunity came on 30’ when Ozil fire just wide of goal. Deportivo meanwhile didn’t try their luck once against Casillas.

With the second half under way, it was Aranzubia who stole the show. The keeper made one save after the next and came up huge against Cristiano Ronaldo and Di Maria, both of whom believed their shots had found the back of the net. Even when Aranzubia appeared to be bested by the Whites, it was the woodwork that denied them of glory. Adebayor’s shot on 78’ hit the near post and then deflected off the keeper for a corner kick. Two minutes later, Cristiano sent a rocket off the far post following a magical run.

Real Madrid tried every which way, but there was no answer. Benzema nearly tapped in what would have been the winner on 83’, but Deportivo managed to clear the ball. Mourinho put it all on the line with three changes that saw the back line reduced to three men, but it simply wasn’t the day. Time to begin preparing for Thursday’s match against Malaga at the Santiago Bernabeu.
